3 Ways to Make Money from T-Shirts

Ok this is a pretty straight forward guide on how to make money with your own creativity, legally. It's no secret that T-shirts based on popular trends sell well. Imagine how much money people make selling T-shirts based on popular movies that are released. The only problem is, you can't legally sell T-shirts that have the name of a movie on them without permission. So how do I get around this? Quotes.......That's how. When people watch movies, one of the things they remember when they are walking out of the theater is the quotes from the movie that were funny or memorable. People quote movies every single day and it's on these quotes that you can capitalize. For example, the movie "Dark Knight" has been this year's most popular film in theaters. Millions of people are walking around everyday quoting memorable lines from this movie. The Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger, was a favorite character amongst audiences.
One of his memorable lines from the movie that I've heard people quoting is "I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger.". So there ya go. You could get a simple black t-shirt, change the wording around a little bit and add white lettering to the front of the shirt which reads "Whatever don't kill ya makes ya.....stranger." Then, you could sell your T-Shirts on your own website or on all the popular classified and auction sites I mentioned in my last post. An even better idea is to make custom t-shirts for people on demand. You could set up your very own custom t-shirt business. Have people email you pictures of them and put it on the t-shirts for them. If you really wanted to impress people, you could even use free art programs like Gimp and add effects to the pictures, such as the cartoon effect that can be found in Gimp. If Betty sees her friend Jackie wearing a shirt with an image of Jackie and at the Grand Canyon, Betty might ask Jackie how she did that. Then Jackie will refer Betty to your website. Speaking of referrals, you can even make money selling other people's t-shirts. SpreadShirt is a website that not only allows people to design custom t-shirts themselves, but also allows them to sell their shirts on SpreadShirt's site. The best part about it is that SpreadShirt will give you all the resources you need to set up your very own t-shirt website. So you can list other people's t-shirts on your website, and if somebody who visits your website likes a t-shirt and clicks on a link to buy it, you will get a sales commission on it. This is a great way to make money without ever having to touch the products you're selling. You could even sell your own designs on your site, right alongside other people's, so no matter what, you will make money.
